I"m a railroad and Crane buff. have been since I was a kid- and have never heard of any National Flag that has a Crane on it - I am using crane in the mechanical engineering sense of the term, not the avian ( bird life) Avian cranes appeared on the House Flag of the Hanseatic League- the world"s oldest shipping concern, that was founded in l207 AD and survived under its original name and structure until l934 , when the Hitler government turned it off- as too multi-national. Probably the oldest Multi-National company as well.

The crane on a flag often symbolizes peace, hope, and longevity. In some cultures, the crane is seen as a symbol of good fortune and happiness. Flags with cranes may be used to represent a wish for prosperity and harmony.
