I"m a railroad and Crane buff. have been since I was a kid- and have never heard of any National Flag that has a Crane on it - I am using crane in the mechanical engineering sense of the term, not the avian ( bird life) Avian cranes appeared on the House Flag of the Hanseatic League- the world"s oldest shipping concern, that was founded in l207 AD and survived under its original name and structure until l934 , when the Hitler government turned it off- as too multi-national. Probably the oldest Multi-National company as well.

The adaptation for the Whooping Crane is each specie.
Whooping crane eggs are being transplanted to sandhill crane nests to take advantage of sandhill cranes' superior ability to rear crane chicks successfully in the wild. Sandhill cranes are better at defending nests from predators and teaching chicks essential survival skills compared to whooping cranes. This translocation strategy aims to boost whooping crane populations by increasing chick survival rates.
