Frogs really do have 3 eyelids first off. Two of the three are translucent and the third is either translucent or opaque. One translucent one is to protect their eyes when they're underwater and the other is extra protection. The opaque/translucent one is the outer eyelid covering the translucent ones up.

Frogs have 3 eyelids. The first 2 are translucent and the third 1 is called the nictitating membrane which protects the eye underwater and moistens the eye on land. xD

Cats have three eye lids to protect their eyes from getting damaged. Their eyes can be damaged fom trees, dust, dirt, claws, ect. Cats have three eye lids to protect them in fights, when they are walking in the garden, bush, so they can watch their prey and hunt with getting sore eyes from dirt or sand, and also from fights or when they catch their prey it may struggle.

Because they're descended from desert-dwelling sand cats. The protective membrane known as the "third eyelid" can be used to protect the eye during a sandstorm while still maintaining some vision. Since cats aren't often in sandstorms these days, they don't really need it, and if it's surgically removed (like my cat's had to be when it got scratched and infected) the cat won't miss it.

How many eyelids does a bee have?

One clear one to see under water and another to completely close their eyes. They have one pair of eyes, with two pairs of eyelids: one regular pair, and an inner eyelid that is transparent called a nictitating membrane, used to protect their eyes when underwater. Sometimes it will be said that they have three eyelids, because you can count the regular eyelids as two, top and bottom, and the nictitating membrane as number three.

How many eyelids do camels have?

6 - two upper, two lower and two third eye lids. The third eyelid is under the lower lid and serves like a windshield wiper to clear the cornea when the camel blinks. Camels actually have three eyelids! Two of them have lashes, and the third is thin. Camels have three eyelids per eye so they have six eyelids total. The extra eyelids help protect it from sandstorms. The third eyelid is translucent (they can see through it) so their eyes will be covered during sandstorms.

Do cats have more than one pair of eyelids?

Yes, cats have two pairs of eyelids. The inner pair, called the third eyelid or nictitating membrane, helps protect their eyes and keep them moist.
