Puppies are considered gentle because they are small and weak. But as they grow, they become stronger, have sharp nails and teeth and become little ferocious animals, as is appropriate for their species. Puppies romp, claw, chew and fight with one another and their parents to prepare them for their adult lives. Only yesterday I went to visit two such wonders. They are 14 week old Boston Terrier puppies. I had forgotten how enthusiastically Boston Terrier pups and their elders greet new visitors. I should have been more careful, but as I adore dogs and especially puppies, as most people do, I was on the floor playing with the little darlings. By the time I left, my face was clawed and nipped to the tune of several pretty impressive wounds that left me bleeding. I mopped up as best as I could, but the wounds still did not curb my own enthusiasm for cuddling and playing with the captivating little devils. Tomorrow I will be bringing one of them home with me and I look forward to the introduction of my new little girl to my 12 year old Yellow Lab mix lady and my Evil Kitty (who loves waiting in hiding for my dog--you get the idea). It will be an interesting several months ahead of us, but I will be having an exceptionally good Christmas this year with my new baby girl.
Puppies may exhibit gentle behavior due to their inherent nature to play and interact with others, including humans. They learn to control the strength of their bites and movements through socialization and training from their mother and littermates. Additionally, gentle behavior in puppies can be influenced by their individual temperament and experiences during early development.
A litter of puppies.
usually an Akita dog will have 5 to 7 puppies per litter.
they are puppies, dog gone it!
It is generally safe for newborn puppies to be around their father, as long as the father is gentle and non-aggressive. However, some male dogs may exhibit protective or dominant behavior that may pose a risk to the puppies. It is important to closely supervise interactions and separate the father if any concerning behavior is observed.
Some common types of puppies include mixed breed puppies, purebred puppies, and designer breed puppies. Mixed breed puppies are a combination of two or more breeds, while purebred puppies belong to a specific breed with consistent characteristics. Designer breed puppies are a cross between two purebred dogs to create a new breed with desired traits.

Yes, it is perfectly fine to bathe your dog before she has puppies.
Lennie is very gentle and protective of the puppies, often petting and playing with them. However, he ends up accidentally killing some of them due to his lack of awareness of his own strength.

First of all, puppies are too young to be pregnant. Second, a gentle massage of the stomach and soothing vocal tones will allow the mother's natural reponses to kick in.
yes, but only quiet gentle songs not hard rock songs. Hello. I am sure, like babies, each puppy is different. However, in my experience, puppies enjoy any human interaction. My two dogs both enjoyed being sang to when they were little. (Pit Bull and Blood Hound)
i use baby shampoo on my puppy, its gentle, and i found since using it she has no more 'dandruff' plus it makes her smell lovely, and gives her coat a lovely shine
It depends on the individual dog and how they respond to baths. If they enjoy them, it may be perfectly all right. But be sure to remove all of the soap, because females groom themselves while expectant and you don't want anything affecting them or their nursing puppies.
