Their venom is mostly poisonous to insects, not to mention their fangs are not powerful enough to penetrate human skin. Wrong.

Daddy Long Legs are deadly but they cannot penetrate skin.

The above statement is incorrect. Superstitious bloggers believe that the Daddy Long Leg's have an inferior jaw structure that certain Spiders are always born with. However, the Brown Recluse spider is one of the kind of spiders born with inferior jaws, and Brown Recluse bites deteriorate (and melt) human skin and muscle tissue.

I can tell you for a fact that I have been bitten by a Daddy Long Leg before and their bites are, not, harmful.

All spiders have small amounts of venom in them. Most of them don't have enough to severely hurt humans, but some like the Australian Redback Spider multiply quickly and have enough venom to kill children. I would say that the Daddy Long Legs is one of the least dangerous spiders because they only manage to give people with sensitive skin a small welt the size of a mosquito bite.

Probably the Daddy Long Leg its fangs are barely able to penetrate the skin and are very poisonous. ^ I'm afraid I don't know that answer to your question but the answer here is incorrect due to the fact that Daddy Long Legs are not spiders at all. Their front two "legs" are actually feelers.

Actually that last person is confused. There are 3 different things called "daddy long legs" one IS a spider its scientific name is Pholcidae. Then there is Opiliones also known as harvestmen which is an arachnid but not a spider. Lastly there is the crane fly which I think the above person was talking about. Pholcidae's venom is not very harmful to humans they can pierce skin but it only causes a slight burning sensation and they are very docile.

You could not say that one spider is the safest. There are poisonous ones that are dangerous, but many pose no danger to humans, just to their prey. To the prey, a particular spider is dangerous, whatever that prey might be.

Common spiders like house spiders and corn spiders are harmless... believe it or not, the tarantula is actually non-venomous! But, tarantula’s can bite you...

Its a dady long legs, these are the most poisonous spiders on the planet but as they don't have any fangs they can't inject it so the only way to get their poison would be to eat one.
