Either male or female is good. Males are meant to be more tame and grow a bit bigger and two litter-brothers will always be friends, although females do fight a bit more than males because in one season a female is bad tempered and the other female has to keep out of the way ( so she will be lonely). The season occurs every sixteen days, some females never argue though.
Overall I think two males( boars) are the best option!

There is no significant difference in temperament or behavior between male and female guinea pigs. The choice between a male or female as a pet may come down to personal preference or the need to neuter males to prevent breeding. Both genders can make wonderful pets with proper care and socialization.
not particularly, there are many female and male guinea pigs
The main difference between male and female guinea pigs is the genitalia. Both male and female guinea pigs have six nipples and fur on their abdomen. By the way, in case you didn't know, male guinea pigs are called "boars" and female guinea pigs are called "sows".
