If it weren't for John Muir and his writings, we probably would not have Yosemite National Park as we know it today. He was also involved in the creation of the Grand Canyon, Kings Canyon, Petrified Forest, and Mt. Rainier National Parks.

John Muir did not establish any parks himself, but he played a key role in the establishment of Yosemite National Park in 1890. His advocacy for the preservation of these natural areas and his writings inspired the creation of the National Park System in the United States.
