I have two large dogs, a golden retriever and a black lab. The battle of the muddy paws is non-stop, especially this time of year in the spring time. I read about the spotless paw dog cleaning glove in my favorite magazine, Real Simple. This glove is super handy and very absorbent. It cleans up both dog's paws easily, is double sided and is machine washable. When the dogs are ready to come in, i grab the spotless paw off of the door handle and put it my left hand. The first dog is stopped at the door and his paws are rubbed with the palm of the glove. After his paws are clean, the same is done for the second dog. If the dog's paws are particularly muddy, I can switch the glove to my other hand and have a completely clean surface to work with for the second dog. This is very handy with two dogs!!!

To remove mud daubers from mud, gently spray the affected area with water to loosen the mud. Then, use a soft brush or cloth to wipe away the mud and the daubers. Make sure to clean the area thoroughly to prevent them from returning.
To clean the wasp mud off stucco, first scrape off as much as possible with a screwdriver or putty knife. Many times the mud will come off in large chunks, or as one piece. An outline will usually be left where the nest was sitting. Use mild soap and water to scrub the rest of the mud off, rinsing well with a water hose to get into the pits and uneven surfaces of the stucco.
Yes, some birds, such as sparrows and swallows, take mud baths. They use mud to build their nests and also to help regulate their body temperature and remove parasites by coating their feathers with mud.
Mud wasps are slender insects with a narrow waist and long legs. They vary in color from black to brown, and some species have yellow markings. Mud wasps typically have a smooth, shiny appearance and build their nests from mud, giving them their name.

The dog may have an infection under the nail. Take him to the vet.The area which a dog is confined to may be the culprit. If the dog is unable to clean himself because of mud, then more of this will continue. Try cleaning the area in which he lives (if outdoors) Then start scrubbing the dog every day until the chewing and slothing stops.
Ostriches clean themselves by licking their fur and bathing in the water.
A revolver. Least amount of moving parts, and the least sofisticated. Easiest to clean and keep functioning/repair. "A revolver never jams."
After the heavy rain last night, we had to clean up the MUD tracked into the house by the dog.
Coat it in mud, then wait until the mud dries, and break it off. You have to make sure the mud isn't wet though, since wet mud would constitute 'washing'.
Mud can stain. This is especially true if you do not clean it up right away.
