Both are large, powerful cats. The body structure is similar, with the lion being taller at the shoulder and the tiger with a longer body. But essentially, they are very similar overall.

Nothing preys on a tiger. A tiger would have to already be dead before something would dare nibble on it.
The skin of a tiger is the skin of a tiger. It doesn't get much more simple than that. It's not too different from the skin of any other similar animal.

It doesn't appear there is any such thing as Tiger paper. There is such a thing as paper tiger, which means something as threatening as a tiger, but doesn't withstand challenge.
