Quqnus is a bird live in forest singing sweet songs, when he sing many birds and animal come surrounding him and lesson his songs by their deep soul, during his singing some animals and birds become dead, when Quqnus is going to leave his life he make a bundle of dry woods and sing a melody "Depak" upon the woods during his singing the woods start to burn Quqnus also burn in this fire, than after some days the rain come and a Egg born from Quqnus waste, than a new Quqnus come in the world.

Sofi Barkat Ali says that there are many holes in the face of a Quqnus, and than he sings a sweet melody come from these holes.

In an Urdu dictionary "Ferizul Lugat" Mr. Feroz ul din written that Quqnus has 360 holes in his face.
