In the wild, Syrian hamsters primarily eat seeds, grains, grasses, and insects. They have a diet that is rich in protein and fiber to support their active lifestyle and meet their nutritional needs. They are opportunistic feeders and will search for food during the night.

Syrian dwarf hamsters eat the same thing as all other hamsters- seeds. Look in Walmart or pet stores for hamster food or hamster and gerbil food. They can also have some fruits and veggies, like strawberry, carrot, potato, etc.

Hope that helps!

A syrian hamster is always good on nuts which aren't cooked or baked, and without any salt. Miniscule peices of cheese and a tablespoon of hamster mix, this should provide a healthy diet for your hamster!

SYrian hamsters eat all types of fruits like

-Carrots

-Apples

-Bannana's

-Pears

- etc.

If you put fruit in the hamsters cage be surre to change it out so it doesnt stink. For long lasting food go to a local petsmart or pet co. It will last way longer than fruit.
