They are famously White, or any variation of white (off-white, light grey, etc.). All Lipizzan Horses are born dark bay, and as they age their coat turns almost pure white. So the younger the Lipizzan, the darker the coat. But very rarely the foal will keep it's dark bay color. If there is a dark bay Lipizzan in the world, it is considered good luck.
