Lion extinction will result in a significant increase of its prey, such as deers, as there is one less predator for them. This will in turn cause grasslands to be wiped out as the prey of lions' population increases. Many herbivorous animals would then be fighting for food, causing many animals to die of starvation or move out of their habitat.

The population of zebra, antelope, and wildebeast would go up, and there would be less grass to feed them, because there would be so many. When the grass was gone, they would all die of starvation. So lions better not go extinct, or there will be a serious problems.

The impact that it would have woud be so great that the ecosystem would be out of balance because without the lions then all the animals that the lion ate would be greatly over populated. then since their is a lot of those animals what ever they ate would be so scarce that all of them would die . lastly the whole ecosystem would just fall apart

If lions were removed from the food chain the animals that the lion eats would become overpopulated. As the animals overpopulate, the foods that they eat would become scarce.

What will happen to humans if lions go extinct?

If lions go extinct, it could disrupt the ecosystem by removing a crucial apex predator, leading to overpopulation of certain prey species and potentially causing imbalance in the food chain. This could have cascading effects on other species and habitats, potentially threatening biodiversity and ecosystem health. Additionally, the loss of lions could impact ecotourism and conservation efforts focused on protecting these iconic animals.
