it is just according to what you want in your dog if you want a smaller dog that as a general rule hunts closer to you and is easier to keep in sight of you then a feist or small cur/feist hybrid is what you want if you want a medium sized dog that hunts a little longer range then a cur or cur/hound cross is more your speed
