The furthest that a land animal travels (not a bird) is the caribou which migrates about 3, 700 miles yearly.

Also the arctic tern travels further than the hummingbird, the Artic Tern fly's over 25,000 miles to the southern ocean. I'm not a biologist but I know. contact 805-403-9277
