It is generally not recommended to wash a Guinea pig unless it is absolutely necessary. Guinea pigs have sensitive skin and washing them can strip away their natural oils, leading to dryness and potential health issues. If a Guinea pig does need a bath, use a specialized small animal shampoo and consult a vet for guidance on proper bathing techniques.
Yes because they know how to swim but make sure its not to deep or they will drown make sure that it only is in up to your anckle and I prefer with my bown and white crested Guinea pig Chester to go in a sink and not a bath
Yes:)!!You could give your guinea pig a bath but should wait a month or 6-7 days. You should do it in some place small like your bathroom sink. Then should feel the sink to about an inch and let the water run.You should also make sureit doesn't get into its eye. Then get some shampoo or guinea pig shampoo and rub it down its back.Don't get inside ear or nose or mouth. Then wash off throughly but remember don't get water in its eye! Then take a dry towel and throughly dry it off but don't hurt it.Don't use hair dryer !You can easyly burn your guinea pig.make sure you dry it off good if you don't it could get a cold.I hope this helped you:)
You don't have to bathe a guinea pig, But if you want a healthy, clean and very happy guinea pig, bathe it once per week... with a maximum of 3 times per week. Make sure you have special shampoo, that you can get from the vets or pet stores, other wise a rash may break out. If this happens cut back on the bathing.
Be sure that you only put the piggy in shallow water. They can swim but it can be very stressful as the animal may feel it's in danger.
It all depends on the guinea pig and its surroundings.
If the guinea pig has long hair (drapes on the ground) then it should be washed once a week and if the cage is really exeptionally clean then once every two weeks could be okay.
A short haired male guinea pig should be washed a maximum of once a month and a shorthaired female should be slightly less often because they don't have a grease gland like the males.
The less often you clean your guinea pigs' cage, the more often you will need to clean your guinea pig, simple!
If it is really stressfull for your guinea pig and it really hates being bathed, then try and get away with bathing it as occasionally as possible, but NOT never!
You ant supposed to bath a guinea pig much unless they get soiled or smelly but i normally give my guinea pig squeak a bath every week as he loves it !

PS: you can use soap and shampoo so long as you rinse them well .
They do need to be bathed. Do not do it more than once a month as it will dry out his skin and make him itchy scratch/pull out his fur. Using a shampoo made specifically for guinea pigs or ferrets is best or you can use baby shampoo.
You can do it once a month....i use baby shampoo for them...
Also be sure that you only put your piggy in shallow water. Some people try to let them swim, but it can be very tiring and stressful.
Guinea Pigs tend to get very stinky! But a long-haired needs more.
Be very careful that the bath water isn't too deep. Guinea pigs aren't comfortable swimming, and the location of their mouth and nostrils mean they can easily get water in their lungs.
Guinea pigs can be bathed with baby shampoo once every 2months.
A guinea pig needs bathing no less than once a month. If you think your guinea pig is not two dirty, then it is okay to give it a bath anytime up to six months.
Just clean the blood off, wash it, and put some antibiotic creme on and a bandaid; same thing you do for normal cut.
It is spelled "guinea pig". You got it right! :)
Tiny white spots on a guinea pig could be a sign of fungal infection such as ringworm. It's important to have a veterinarian examine the spots to provide a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. Keep your guinea pig's living area clean and dry to prevent further skin issues.
Well nothing really happens.. Potato skin is bad for them, but the potato itself is okay.. Mine loves French fries Bc of the salt on them. So as long as the fries don't have the peel, you should be okay!
a guinea pigs cousin would also be a guinea pig.
Yes, that's okay for them to eat.
It may hurt the guinea pig if he is sensitive, but other wise he will be okay with it.
To wash a guinea pig you have to have a sink, soft towel, guinea pig shampoo, perfect temperature of the water and a hair dryer ( only if its cold outside ). For more information: Go to: http://www.wikihow.com/Wash-Your-Guinea-Pigs
once every 3 months
Not if a guinea-pig eats it, as you have put in the question. It's okay if a guinea-pig chews a piece of fabric, because it will grind their teeth down, which is a good thing.
I learnt that Red lettuce is okay for your Guinea Pig but Ice Burg lettuce can make them ill!
NO.If you wash a guinea pig in a week the next week it still be kinda clean but in 2 week 1/2 without washing it it might lose it's trust in you so like clean it with special guinea pig wipes with it so clean and it can trust you forever.
No you can't use human soap, you should use soap made for small animals like guinea pigs.
Best once a week because they are fragile
yes you can
yes it is good to keep them clean they like warm water
If you get bitten by a guinea pig, all you need to do is tap your guinea pig gently on the nose which means "don't do that again" and then go and wash your hands. Don't get all stressed about it, this is perfectly natural for a guinea pig to, especially if it is a young male. Most guinea pig bites don't draw blood or hurt that much, so there's nothing to be worried about.
