Veterinarians measure dog age by the following formula: From birth to age one, your dog goes form birth to (human) 21 years old. For every year thereafter, your dog ages four human years.

Hence, for the first year of your dog's life, every human month is about two years, or a little less. Once your dog has passed it's first birthday, every human month is about three dog months.

A dog at 14 years of age is as old physically as a human at 98 years how many years of a humans life eguals one year of a dogs life?

To determine how many "dog years" equal one "human year," you can divide the average human lifespan (around 80 years) by the average dog lifespan (around 12 years). This would give a rough estimate of approximately 7 human years equaling 1 dog year.

How old is your dog in dog years if they are 2 in human years?

This depends on the size of the dog when it is mature (i.e what breed it is). But for all breeds 4 months (human) would be 5-6 years (dog). Up to human year 5, all sizes of breeds age similarly, where they can be considered to be in their mid- 30s in human years, but after that, the scale changes quite a lot according to breed size. Below I've posted 2 URLs that take you to charts showing the ages for the different size of dog - the first is fairly simplified, the second is pretty detailed, but you'll need to know the adult breed average weight for an dog of the type you have to use it.

Your dog was born in 2000 how old is your dog in dog years?

70. The formula for this is x times seven- x being how old your dog is in human years. This formula gives a rough approximation of age. However, with the study of canine health and longevity, it is now accepted that dogs age differently according to their size. In general, smaller breed dogs will live longer than large breed dogs. The Senior Dogs Project website has a good table which depicts a dog's age in human years according to their weight.
