A goats gestation period (the time from when the kid is created to when its born) last for five months. Though many goats, if not properly cared for, (and sometimes, though not very often, even for no reason) are prone to having premature kids. Which is not very good, considering the short amount of time the kid is in the mothers stomach. The kid needs those 5 months for all the necessary growth development and nutrition.

Goats typically have a gestation period of about 5 months, or around 150 days. However, this can vary slightly depending on the breed of the goat.
