Well, I have a mare named Lady, one of her pasturemates(and her half sister) is named Allie (also spelled Ally, Alli, Allee, etc.) there is a gelding named Sunny, and that could easily be a mares name also.
At my lessons I ride a mare named Sugar, and I have ridden a horse named Shade there twice before also.
I have 2 friends with horses named Cocoa. One of those friends also has a mare named Petey (but I don't think its a very girlish name)
Some random names are: Banner, Chloe, Sunshine, Prancer, Belle, Flicka, Ginger, Daisy, and Baby.
If none of these names are good, try to think of names that describe your horses personality, color, breed, etc. Maybe try looking at her parents and grandparents names. Or, think of horses from your favorite books and movies.
Another thing that wil pull up a ton of results is to go to a horse selling website, and look for mares for sale or lease. This will pull up a ton of mares, all with good female names.

If it is a female, I would call it Shayama,(SHAY-AMA) If it is a male, I would call it Bruan,(BROO-AN). I like unusual names. I have a paint horse called Altai(ALT-EYE).
