I am not sure that they eat raw meat but theydefinitely eat cooked chicken. I have seen them do just that at my neighbour Ray (RIP-we'll miss you) and Carol's (wife of Ray) cottage at the beach. Now keep in mind that these are very tame chipmunks and may not apply to wild ones, who have little to no human contact. But since it seems that are known mostly as herbivores aside from bugs, I would not suggest feeding them any in case it is detrimental to their health.
