Fish do live in some parts of the dessert. They live under the ground in shaded areas, like under the very few palm trees. They do not live in water holes as the sun is too hot for them but under the ground it is cooler and there is water. There is normally a small hole besing the palm tree which the fish us as a breathing hole.

Koi fish can live in almost any country. Koi are thought to be originally from Japan. Many people have outdoor fish ponds in which Koi are the dominant fish.
