After you kill the queen all the ants will die in starvation. Some species of ants will still continue to do work even though the queen died. Sometimes ants will come, but it won't likely happen. Also if the queen dies another ant becomes the new queen.
This reminds me of something that happened to me as a child. i got ants from the top of my garden, then from the bottom of the garden, got the queens from both and put them in a jar together. the 2 ant colonies had a war with each other. It was AWESOME! after a few minutes one of the queens got severly injured (the other queens ants attacked it) and started limping. so then i let the ants go. the bottom of the garden ants returned home and so did the top of the garden ants, then 5 minutes later i saw some ants dragging the (now dead) injured queen back to the colony.
If a queen ant dies, the colony may be in trouble as she is responsible for laying eggs and maintaining the population. Worker ants may try to replace her by selecting a new queen from existing larvae or through a process called "gamergate," where worker ants develop the ability to reproduce. If they are unsuccessful in replacing her, the colony may eventually die out.
Answer
It depends on the species. Some species of ants have multiple queens in a colony, from dozens to thousands, so losing even a few queens has little or no effect. In most species the death of the last queen results in collapse of the colony, as they are the only ones capable of reproducing. Although the workers are all female, they are sterile and incapable of laying eggs.
Yes, ants do have a leader. The queen ant is the leader of all the ants. However, there are ants of a higher rank that tell the lower rank ants what the queen wants. It is sort of like being in the army.
The main job of a queen bee or termite is to lay eggs to supply new members of the colony.
A queen ant is the primary reproductive female in an ant colony. She is responsible for laying eggs that will develop into worker ants to support and maintain the colony. The queen ant has a long lifespan compared to other ants and is crucial for the survival and growth of the colony.
You have to impress the queen ant :-o
no
An ant happens to be produced by the queen ant, and the queen ant flies to mate with a male and lays eggs.
The ant either dies, or becomes seriously ill.
After mating with the queen the ant that mats the queen dies. The queen becomes pregnent and after a few weeks she has babies.
They only do it one time, while theyre flying I think. Then the drone dies and the queen eats her wings and digs a hole for the nest.
Male ants only have one job and that is to mate with the queen ant. After they mate, the male ant dies. All of the worker ants are female.
You do not need to consider the sex ratio for an ant population as the Queen ant creates all the eggs, which they hatch and become worker ants to feed the queen so the Queen can reproduce, if all the worker ants die, the Queen dies and no eggs are laid, so the sex ratio is not considered in an ant population.
The have Conflict And Then The Winner Becomes The New Queen.
Queen ant of course not worker, soldier OR elite soldier. But anyway the ants already captured and killed by the enemy ant ( The one that you ask) for the queen and feed it. If human, they interested in queen ant in the flight season
Prince Charles will take over.
You are gonna have red mark and depending on whether or not that ant is venomous or not you may have a burning sensation
ant colony can exist for about 20 to 30 years when the queen grows too old she dies and .................no egg is laid the workers start to die ant gradually they are all dead.
A queen ant starts a colony of the same type of ant it is. So if the queen is a black ant queen then she will produce black ants, if she is a fire ant queen then she will produce fire ants, etc. (strange question bro)
