Gnats in the hamster cage can be a nuisance and potentially harmful to your pet. To get rid of them, clean the cage thoroughly, remove any food sources attracting the gnats, and use traps or natural repellents like vinegar or essential oils. Ensure good ventilation in the cage to discourage gnats from returning.
Lemon is toxic to hamsters and can seriously harm them. Remove your hamster from the cage, give her fresh water, and consult a vet immediately for guidance. Do not use lemon or any citrus products near your hamster in the future.
To care for a dwarf hamster, provide a suitable cage with bedding, a wheel for exercise, fresh water, and a balanced diet of hamster food, vegetables, and occasional treats. Offer toys for enrichment and handle your hamster gently to build trust. Regularly clean the cage and monitor your hamster's health.
Depends on how many hamsters & the size of the cage. The smaller the cage & the more in one cage, the more often it needs to be cleaned. Use natural products, rinse & air dry! They HATE a dirty cage!
Sanitize the cage and get new bedding and the cage is good as new!
I think so because I keep my hamster in the same cage I kept my last hamster in. I dont know for sure so ask a proffesional
yes, no matter what the hamster is you can always use the same cage wire, plastic, or aquarium
Yes, you can use a fish tank as hamster cage and it works really well ~ better than some of the wire cages because there is no chance of the hamster's feet getting caught in the wire. The tanks are easy to clean and provide a lot of room for a wheel and toys for your hamsters. Just make sure to get the wire lids that are made for the tank and tank clips if your wheel or toys are very tall.
You should use bedding in your hamster cage and you should change it and clean the cage every few days. PetProductsByRoyal.com has some nice hamster cages.

You can't really improve a hamster cage when you have animals that might hurt your hamster in the house. The best cage is the Cage that has all the requirments of a normal cage. If you have animals at home that might hurt your animal, place it in a secure high location that your animal will not reach. For more Information, visit: wwwhamsterownerswebs.webs.com
I recommend getting a cage divider or some wall thing with holes small enough so your hamster cant get through them and put it in your cage. put one hamster on one side and the other hamster on the other side see if there is any act of aggressiveness between them they will soon get use to one another and then you can put them in the same cage. if the keep showing aggressiveness don't put them in the same cage anymore. BTW if u cant buy a cage divider then make a wall of car board with holes in it and put it in your cage.
