Well, if you're talking about dry cat food, yes, because I just ate a piece this afternoon! :) I don't know about wet cat food, but since I ate the dry food I've been fine, no problems or anything. My sister and mom ate it too, and my mom hated it.
Anyway, yes, you can eat cat food! It tastes bland, (well, the IAMS kitten food does) and has a little aftertaste, but it's edible. It kind of tastes fishy, too!
Technically yes. However, cat food is manufactured for the nutritional needs of cats, which are somewhat different from those of humans... to give one particular example, cats do not need Vitamin C (they can make it themselves), so a human who ate nothing but cat food would be likely to eventually develop scurvy.
An example going the other way: cats require taurine in their diet; humans are capable of making it from the amino acid cysteine. However, there are no known adverse effects to humans from consuming taurine in reasonable quantities (it's present naturally in meats, and is commonly added to energy drinks), so while you don't really need it in your diet it's not going to hurt you either.
The main point is: you can eat cat food as an occasional snack if you want, but it's not an optimal diet and would need to be supplemented by other foods in order for you to get all the micronutrients you require.
The law generally does not restrict what you eat if you do all the preparation yourself. Legally you cannot prepare and serve your cat to anyone else, though.
The law does restrict how you treat your cat, and killing your cat in order to eat it may be against the law locally -- it is often the case that only licensed veterinarians can euthanize a cat.

Well think about what a cat eats.Cats eat mice and mice eat corn.So if the mice eat the corn then they would grow and be healthy for the cat to eat.If the mice didn't eat corn then they wouldn't grow so the cat wopuldn't have anything to eat.So corn is important to a cat because mice eat corn and cat eat mice.Hoped it helped!
Your cat should not do that.
