Limit their pellet intake and increase their hay intake. Provide only high-quality pellets: no seeds, grains, nuts or colored bits. Don't give your pig any sugary treats. Make sure your pig has a big enough cage to exercise in and a cagemate (another guinea pig) to exercise with. The cage needs to be at least 30" x 36". Make sure your guinea pig gets exercise in the form of floor time too (but hide all cables).
