Turtles lay eggs. They do not give birth to live babies.
Turtles mate to reproduce and ensure the survival of their species. During mating, the male turtle transfers sperm to the female turtle's reproductive tract, where fertilization of the eggs occurs. This process is essential for the continuation of the turtle population.
Female turtles (all species) come ashore once a year to dig a hole on the beach in which to lay their eggs.
Turtles lay their eggs and bury them in sand on a beach. When the hatchlings emerge from the eggs and dig themselves out, their instinct is to head down the beach to the sea. Unfortunately, many predators (gulls, foxes, etc) are waiting to snatch them up and eat them. Even when they reach the sea, predators (sharks, seals, etc) are waiting off shore. By laying thousands of eggs during the same time period, hatching all together, by sheer mass of numbers, at least some will survive to adulthood - enough to perpetrate the species.
Turtles like to hang out by the water's edge, where it's very damp so they won't dry up.If you live near any woodland,it would be a good idea to check under leaves and see if they are hanging around in the shade (they like shady spots too). But be careful if your checking under leaves.(It might not be a turtle!) Turtles are most likely to be at the edge of woodland on sunny days. They can't dry up or they will die from not having moisture in their bodies.
no
some people do the job of cleaning beaches when its dirty l
turtles
They either sleep on land or in the water.
The Forest . Or The Beach , lol
In Hawaii I think it is in December. because I was there and two sea turtles came on the beach within five mins. of each other. VERY COOL!
They are born on the beach, and they crawl down the beach to the water.
1. People hunt them and eat them in Turtle soup!! YUM!!! 2. turtles have an instinct that they are born with which is to go to the brightest horizon, usually the sea is the brightest because of the moon but the lights in the towns above the beach are brighter so the turtles walk into the town onto the road and get run over. 3. turtles eat jelly fish and jelly fish look like plastic carrier bags which people throw into the sea and the turtles eat, it gets caught in their system and kills them. 4. turtles travel back to the beach they were born to lay their eggs then they leave, but then tourists come to the beach and they either dig up the eggs or they got troden on or umbrella sticks crack the shells.
well since sea turtles rarely sleep they really dont but if they do they will sleep on a nearby beach
no their habitat is near the beach somewhere.
well turtles live on the beach most of the time
