All Black Widow Spiders are poisonous, especially the young ones.
Black Widow spider bites are not very common and if you get a bite, it won't kill you, unless you are elderly or a small child, or if you just have poor health in general. If you are sure that you have a Black Widow spider bite, you should get it checked out by a doctor immediately.
Yes they do, and a baby has enough venom to cause a fairly painful burning sensation in a 3 to 4 inch radius. At first it just stings a little right where the bite is, but the sting turns into a burning and slowly spreads out from that spot. the burning sensation can get pretty bad and it can feel kind of scary. It's probably not like any pain you've felt before. But if it just one bite and it's on an adult you should be fine. To be safe you can call poisin control. Be careful, they don't look like much but they pack a mean punch. Even though they might be really small if you get bit by more than one then you my want to seek medical attention.
Yes, they can bite, but they don't seem to have any venom. I received over a dozen bites on my left hand from a freshly hatched egg sack. I applied some echinacea tincture to the area and the welts went away. A few hours later I managed to get another dozen or so bites on the right wrist. Again, echinacea and the itching stopped and the welts disappeared. I came home this afternoon to another fresh batch of baby spiders! I have tried to avoid applying poisons, but this is getting out of control. So I am off to research my options! Any recommendations?
Baby black widow spiders (spiderlings) are much smaller and lighter in color compared to adults, with a pale abdomen and brownish stripes on their back. They also have white or yellow markings on their abdomen. As they mature, their color darkens and they develop the characteristic black body with red hourglass marking on their underside.
Baby black widows primarily feed on small insects such as flies, ants, and other spiders. They use their venom to subdue their prey before consuming them.
Spiders that have red baby spiders are typically members of the Araneidae family, such as redback spiders (Latrodectus hasseltii) and false widow spiders (Steatoda spp.). The red coloration of the spiderlings serves as a warning signal to potential predators, indicating their toxic or harmful nature.
Baby spiders are called spiderlings. They hatch from eggs and undergo several molts before reaching adulthood.
Baby spiders are called spiderlings. When they hatch from their eggs, they are tiny versions of adult spiders and gradually grow in size as they molt and mature.
All spiders have at least a small amount of poison, though this is miniscule in the infantory status. Even a baby black widow would be unlikely to cause serious harm to a child unless they were alergic. Baboon spiders are slightly less poisonous than black widows....but I wouldn't want them around to mature. Also when an egg sac opens there's a potential you could get swarmed...though most species tend not to eat for the first couple of days.

All black widows are poisonous, some say the young ones even more so, However at such a small size their fangs are not likely to penetrate a humans skin.
