It's Saphira. Murtagh explains it at the end of ELDEST the book. The last dragon egg is male, Murtagh also explains that. That's why Galbatorix doesn't want to kill Eragon or Saphira because he wants to 'renew the riders'. So if Saphira breeds, she will be the mother of an entire race. :)

∙ 15y agoThe last female dragon in the Inheritance Cycle is Saphira, who hatches for Eragon. She is a key character throughout the series, forming a strong bond with her Rider and aiding in their adventures.
Saphira is the dragon that Eragon is bonded to and does not create a bad dilemma but she is the last hatched female dragon (the other females are unhatched in an underground cavern that no one knows about-Inheritance)
