Numerous Warrior cats have died throughout the series. Some died in battles with other clans or outside threats, while others died from old age or sickness. Each death has impacted the clans and their members in various ways.

During the battle with Scourge, the warrior cats that survived were Firestar, Tigerstar, Graystripe, Sandstorm, and others from ThunderClan, WindClan, RiverClan, and ShadowClan. Some minor characters also survived, but unfortunately, many cats lost their lives in the battle.
Why is Sol and a few other Tortoiseshell and Calico cats in the Warrior Cats Series male?
There are several tortoiseshell (calico) cats in the Warriors series. The authors have said before in interviews that they do not pay attention to genetics in most cases. So saying, male calico cats (especially those who are fertile) are extremely rare. Male tories are very rare and are infertile (cannot reproduce), however there are very rare cases of genetic mutation which occurs in the development of the embryo that can create a fertile, male tortie. Both Sol and Redtail are both calico males in the series. As well Blossompaw, Cherrytail, Dappletail, Tawnypelt, Dawn River, Morningflower, Mosspelt, Poppyfrost, Sorreltail, and Spottedleaf are all female torties within the series. Also note that the illustrators draw tortoiseshell cats as calicos and that Erin Hunter doesn't refer to calicos as "calicos", just "tortoiseshell and white." ________________________________________ why are you a boy/girl? its just the way the author writes the book.
