At the end of the book "The Giver," Jonas is around 12 years old.
At the end of the story Jonas and Gabe reach elsewhere
I have no clue but in the end of the book the village explodes and no one expect jonas's father survives
THE DAD KILLS HIMSELF :o
Jonas lived. It is not perfectly clear as to what he saw at the end of the giver, but in the third book it mentions a "a leader who came to town on a red sled" and mentions Gabe, his little brother. Also in the new book, The Son, by Lois Lowry, it is the story of the real mother of Gabe, and it talks about what happened to him after he came back with Jonas.
At the end of the talk between Jonas and the Giver on page 113, the mood is tense and contemplative. Jonas is grappling with the weight of the revelations he has received and the implications of his role as Receiver of Memory. The Giver is also concerned about the potential consequences of their plan to help the community by transmitting memories to its members.
Oh, dude, the Giver said "forgive me" because he was about to give Jonas some intense memories that would probably mess with his head a bit. It's like a warning, you know? Like, "Hey, sorry in advance for the emotional rollercoaster I'm about to send you on." So yeah, it's just a heads-up from the Giver before diving into some heavy stuff.
Jonas gives Gabriel memories throughout the book "The Giver" by Lois Lowry, starting around Chapter 14. However, the most significant moment when Jonas intentionally transmits memories to Gabriel is in Chapter 23, towards the end of the book.
The little baby in "The Giver" is named Gabriel. He is the child that Jonas helps save by escaping from the community at the end of the book.
Jonas wants the Giver to keep the memories of pain, suffering, and loneliness for himself. He believes that the Giver should not have to carry that burden alone and that he should experience the joy and love that the memories of a more colorful past bring.
