A lot is different. In the Twilight movie the script writers (etc.) took out most of the detail from the book. For example the chapter 'Carlisle' as I recall wasn't even mentioned in the movie. Which was a lot detail and information. The script writers (etc.) only put in the main story into the movie and leave out most details that are not needed.

A movie is a stand-alone piece of visual storytelling typically lasting around 1.5 to 3 hours, while a show refers to a series of related episodes or installments that progress a central storyline or theme over multiple seasons. Movies are usually watched in one sitting, whereas shows are released episodically over time.
