At the end of the book, Jonas discovers that his father kills the old and young that are expected to leave. Like when an elder has served their time or a baby can't stay for some reason. This doesn't necessarily mean that the people of the community are cruel, they just don't want their secrets out.
When people get released in "The Giver" someone gives them an injection which makes them die and Jonas' dad did that to onen of the twins, then Jonas' dad puts the twin in a box and throws the bow down a shoot like thing which Jonas' said looks like the garbage shoot in his classroom
When a person is released in "The Giver," they are euthanized by lethal injection. This is the community's way of maintaining order and preventing those deemed unfit or problematic from causing disruption. The individual is essentially eliminated from society and all memories of them are erased from the community's collective consciousness.
When people are released in The Giver someone goes ahead and kills them.
It is someones job to do that. For example there are twins and the smaller twin gets released so then that way the community will not get confused by who's who. The smaller boy gets killed by putting the baby to sleep with a needle
she was the one chosen to be the receiver ten years earlier but it causes her to much pain- she commits suicide by asking to be released
She becomes the Reciever, but is overwhelmed by the pain and bad memories. She applies to be released, completely understanding what being released actually means.
Yes, the noun 'giver' is normally in the third person, the one spoken about: Who is the giver of these cookies? Mrs. Fields is the giver of these cookies. However, the noun 'giver' is sometimes used the first person, the speaker: I am a giver of advice.Or 'giver' is sometimes used in the second person, the one spoken to: You are a giver of advice.
They are killed through toxic injections. It says it in the book itself.
This cannot be answered all the way. Every person will have their own memories on what happen in the book.
no he leaves but does not get released
I hated it
The Giver movie has not yet been made but have said that it will be released in 2013
The person who said "we all live intertwined on this planet, so we must be good to each other" in The Giver was the character named The Giver.
In The Giver, Jonas discovers that Rosemary was the Giver's daughter and the failed Receiver before him. She asked to be released from the community after experiencing the pain and suffering of all the memories she received, causing the community to stop sharing memories with the Receivers.
In The Giver, all the people of the community are color blind, but since Jonas is The Giver, he can see colors. What happened to the apple was that he was able to see the color red.
