In chapter 5 of "Lord of the Flies," Jack dismisses the littleuns' fear and believes they should not be worried about the beast. He asserts that there is no monster on the island and encourages them to join his tribe for protection and safety. Jack sees their fear as a tool to manipulate them into joining his group.
Jack says they will leave the head of a sow for the beast as an offering in Chapter 8. He believes it will appease the beast and prevent it from attacking the boys.
In "Lord of the Flies," Jack expresses his belief that Piggy doesn't have the right to speak and that he shouldn't be chief in Chapter 1. This demonstrates Jack's early disdain for Piggy and his desire to assert his dominance over the group.
Jack says that the conch is meaningless on his end of the island. He makes his own rules and does not consider Ralph a leader.
In chapter one Jack states, "I ought to be chief, becasue I'm chapter chorister and head boy. I can sing C sharp." In chapter eight Jack criticises Ralph's leadership by say "He's not a hunter. He'd neevr have got us meat." Which by implication means that as Jack is a hunter and has got them meat he should be leader.
Jack says that the littluns were cry babies and sissies for being afraid of beasts hat weren't even on the island.
Jack said "Bollock to the rules" during the meeting in chapter 5: Beast From Water. Later, at the meeting in chapter 6: Beast From Air, Jack said, when talking about some of the other boys "...It's time some people knew they've got to keep quiet and leave deciding things to the rest of us---."
During the meeting in chapter 8: Gift for the Darkness Jack accused Ralph of being a coward. He also said that Ralph was, 'like Piggy. He says things like Piggy.' And that Ralph wasn't a hunter and would never have got meat for the boys.

If you were to say 'fear nothing' in Latin, you'd say vereor nusquam.
