I'm guessing this is a question about the book Lord of the Flies by William Golding. If so, Samneric saw the corpse of a parachutist. The parachute's strings were tangled up and every time the wind blew, the corpse seemed to sit up because the parachute was dragging it.
In "Lord of the Flies" by William Golding, the beastie the boy saw was actually a dead parachutist. The wind caused the body to move, giving the illusion of a terrifying creature.
