The answer to that question is that Jacob has always been a Werewolf. He was supposed to be the pack leader. He was born a werewolf but have not yet found the trigger. According to the Quileute legends he turns into a werewolf simply because the "vampires" were near.It was in his blood and already apart of him other wise he wouldn't be the ere or Emphrian or that he was supposed to be the pack leader because of his heritage. The reason they decided to find the trigger was because of the vampires

his anger, because in the new moon movie, Alice is reunited with Bella, and when Jacob comes in, he tells Alice "you don't want to make me angry". i thought that he meant, if you do get me angry ill turn into wolf form.
After the movies, Jacob went home. Billy asks Jacob what was wrong and he turned into a werewolf because he was angry.
Neither. According to (I think) Aro, they are really called shape-shifters. Their ancestors could have picked an eagle, or a mouse, or any other animal. The REAL werewolves are called "Children of the Moon." You know, the ones who change when there's a full moon. But apparently, they were almost hunted down to extinction because Marcus (I think) is scared of them.
hope this helps?

Jacob Black is his real name no matter whether he is a wolf or not!
Jacob Black
Jacob Black was sixteen years old in New Moon when he first became a wolf.
When I think of Jacob I think of a Big redbrow Shagy wolf.
He turns into a wolf.
Jacob Black is pert of the Quileut wolf pack/Indian tribe
actually Jacob is not a wolf coyote or a werewolf because his ancestors of his tribe were shape shifters and they turned into a wolf at first so that is the only thing the members of the tribe in the move could turn into a wolf.
The main wolf is Taylor Lautner. In the book and movie his name is Jacob Black.
Taylor Lautner plays Jacob Black.
Jacob Black's handwriting is not specifically described in the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer.
