A "new moon" does not last at all. The phases of the moon as we see them are simply caused by the casting of the earth's shadow on the moon, thereby making only the lighted part visible, and this changes constantly as everything rotates. (Keep in mind we only see the moon after dark, which means the sun is on one side of the earth and the moon is on the other side - our side...therefore, our shadow is cast upon the moon.)
Romantically speaking, the new moon seems to last a few days after its actual occurrance, but this depends more on how long you want it to last than on actual visual evidence. If you are in love, any phase of the moon can last forever.
The last manned landing on the moon was Apollo 17 in December 1972. The astronauts spent about 75 hours on the moon's surface during this mission.
The runtime for the movie "Twilight: New Moon" is approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes.
Days on the Earth are 24 hours long. Days on the Moon are about 29.5 days, or 709 hours.
many hours, about 6, it was fought underneath the moon
Apollo was on the moon for 21 hours
what it is not right it must be how long it takes to travel to the moon!!!
It would not last four hours! 1) People wouldn't sit for that long 2) People would have to pay major money to see it and i dont even think the book is long enough to make four hours of film.
Two hours on the moon would be the same length as two hours on Earth, as time is consistent regardless of location. The moon's day is about 29.5 Earth days long, so two hours on the moon would only represent a fraction of its day-night cycle.
About 22; slightly under that, by a few hours.
You can see the moon for about 8 hours in the day
New Moon is 563 page long.
14 hours or48 hours
