Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain foolishly believe Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Germans would leave Britain (and France) when they signed a "non-aggression" pact with Adolph Hitler. Hitler had no intention of honoring "that phony piece of paper" he claimed to his people.
