Were there any females in the part of the Renaissance?
Yes and No. The time of the renaissance differed wildly for
separate nations - Italy was very early, while countries like
England, the Netherlands and Germany experienced it almost a
century later. Society at that time was completely male-dominated.
Almost all people associated with the renaissance were male.
Nonetheless some women can be considered to have contributed to
the renaissance. Sofonisba Anguissola was a well-known woman
painter in the time of the renaissance. Some female rulers can also
be considered to have taken part in the renaissance, such as
Elizabeth I of England and Isabella I of Castile.
