The Romans had an empire, whereas the Greeks did not. The ancient Greek society consisted of several city-states, each under their own laws. The only time they united was in a time of crisis. When the crisis was over, they all went back to their own territories. The closest thing to a Greek empire was the conquests of Phillip of Macedon and his son, Alexander the great, but at Alexander's death the "empire" simply was divided and crumbled. The Greeks did have colonies in southern Italy, but they were colonies of Sparta, a city-state. In contrast, the Romans entered a territory, sometimes sent settlers there, and ruled the territory under Roman law, thereby attaining an empire.

France France ? Ridiculous, France hasn't been conquered more than the average major European nation. In fact, for most of its history it was the one doing the conquering. Far better candidates would be Flanders, a region of Europe which has been invaded by pretty much all the countries in Europe at least once, or maybe Vietnam, invaded by China, France, the US and many of its neighbors.
Anthony Henday was famous for pushing his discoveries and explorations for Britain far West. He made several alliances with the First Nations in doing so. This helped the Hbc a great deal.
While Britain may well be a democracy, Britain is far from a free country. as we have no constitution and euro-crates posses more power than the corrupt politicians we do have. you are not free to own guns in Britain so how are you free. freedom has no limitations, a free country dose not impose laws to limit freedom. a free country is one where the government stays out of your life, a free country is one where you get to keep the fruits of your labor. so no Britain and it 50% tax rate, ban on guns and crippling laws is not a truly free country. in a free country i would be able to own a gun, keep the money i earn and say what i want. true freedom is only present when the government fears its citizens not when the citizens fear the government.

There are a number of reasons why Caesar invaded Britain:Britain was helping the French (then known as the Gauls) fight against the Romans. Invading Britain as part of his Gallic War campaign helped ease the Gaul rebellions.Britain harboured Gaul leaders and Gaul fugitives, protecting them from the Romans. Invading Britain was one way of getting to them.Nobody from as far as Rome had conquered Britain before. Caesar wanted to be remembered in history, so he invaded Britain. To the Romans, reaching Britain was like the Americans reaching the moon.He heard Britain was rich in pearls and tin, which he wanted, as Rome could use them for crafting or trading.Britain is a very large island with very high coastlines. This made it extremely defensive and hard to invade, which is why Caesar wanted it, as it would be an impenetrable state for the Western Roman Empire. Also, Britain being a large island, meant it can produce a very effective defensive and offensive navy, something Caesar wanted for his empire.
As far as I know, he DIDN'T. Germany BOMBED Britain. Because Britain was Germany's enemy. Neither Hitler (personally) nor Germany invaded Britain. London was heavily bombed, Coventry was bombed, other cities were bombed, but the country was not invaded. The British Channel Islands, however, were invaded. The islands (Guernsey, Jersey) were occupied by Germany, being closer to France than to England.
The Romans invaded many countries. As far as the British Isles were concerned the new Emperor Claudius ordered an invasion in 43 AD. 40,000 Roman troops landed in Kent and occupied the southern part of what we now call England.
Romans were the first to use the word, so as far as what "Country did it come from", you could say Rome, to start with.

The Moors from North Africa invaded Spain in 710. They had some influence on the Spanish language. For example Al-Andalus became Andalucia. But by far the largest influence was the Latin of the Romans. Spanish, like French, Italian, and Portuguese is a Romance Language, meaning it's origins are in Latin.
