The Allies punished the Germans by demanding Reparations to pay for WW1. Basically making Germany pay for the damage done. This put the German Economy in dire straights. Then the Great Depression hit and made things way worse. The impoverished German people were presented by a Charismatic man named Adolf Hitler. He ran his campaign promoting a resurgence of Germany as a world power and a better economy for the general populace. Once elected and in power he made himself dictator. WW2 was inevitable at that point
