Check under the forearm
It is a shame that a quality shotgun like the Weatherby O/U has a forearm that can not handle its own recoil without cracking the forearm. I have always admired the Weatherby. Now with my Orion O/U 12 ga. The forearm continues to cracking. In my skeet league, I can know longer recommend a Weatherby shotgun. Can't handle the continuous shooting. Charlie
The one my dad has uses the same forearm. It should just snap on just like it does on the rifle barrel.

Perazzi shotgun stock forearms are not interchangeable. Currently Perazzi is in its fourth version of forearm design. These new style latches have two Allen screws in the rear of the forearm iron. Old style latches do not. There are three versions of old style forearms. The width of the wood between the metal of the forearm latch and the rear of the forearm iron differs with each of the three old styles, as does the length of the metal latch itself and its width.
