Henri Pieper (note the spelling) was a well known Belgian gunmaker- 1840-1898. His company made many different guns. Search for the name spelled as above, and you should find a lot of information on him- We cannot help much without some description of your rifle. A strong note of caution- ONE style of Pieper rifle was known as the Warnant action- many of them had a very unusual shape to the trigger guard. These were NOT meant to fire a gunpowder cartridge, but a cartridge with only a primer (used for indoor target shooting). The action is NOT strong enough to safely fire 22 LR ammunition. Please have checked by a KNOWLEDGEABLE gunsmith before trying to shoot anything in it.
what exactly is the question any other information on the rifle?
for a rifle it is thought to be a .50 calibre but a gun company made there own for there own sniper rifle the .408 calibre
I too have a rifle matching this description. Any information would be of interest.
The .243. It's basically a necked down .308 Winchester.
This all depends on the calibre of said rifle make and model :)
The Winchester Company introduced the 32 Calibre rifle in 1873. For it they created four different types of bullets including the Winchester 32 special.
It's Japanese, and the rifle uses the 7.7x58mm Arisaka cartridge.
For a rifle it would be the 2 Bore.
No
It's a rifle, in fact very small calibre. .22 is roughly 5mm's.
A 243 calibre rifle is Just that. The bore (internal measurement of the barrel) is 0.243 of an inch in diameter.
303
