Possibly, but no guarantee. Serial numbers were often duplicated.
From what i have read UNION FIREARMS Co was purchased in 1913 by Ithaca Also I have read Union Firearms Co. was the name of the company from 1903 to 1913. It was just Union Firearms from 1901 to1903. I am also trying to find the age of one Serial #2877 yes 4 digit serial # Mine just says Union Firearms . The abbr. Co is not on mine . I can only assume it is between 1901 and 1903 Hope that helps you

Union Fire Arms Co was in business from 1903 to 1910, then became Union Arms Co until 1913.
In business from 1903-1913. Value seldom exceeds 100 USD
Union began as the Colton Manufacturing Company in 1893 in Toledo, Ohio. The name was changed to Union Fire Arms in 1905. They were bought out by Toledo Arms in 1913, and in 1916, Toledo Arms was bought by Savage. They made predominantly shotguns. You can probably assume yours was made between 1905 and 1913. DO NOTfire modern shotgun ammunition in it unless it has been inspected by a competent gunsmith first. It may bring a good price from a collector, if you want to sell it.
UMC refers to Union Metallic Cartridge company. They are owned by Remington and only make ammunition not firearms.
