Are you sure it says ARMORY and not ARMS?
I have a 12 Ga. sitting here saying springfield manufactured by J. Stevens arms company. If that helps ya any. It's a single shot that's really short with no searial number or model number.
It doesn't have one. Long arms manufactured before 1/1/69 were not required to be serialized in the US.
You'll only find the date of sale if you have the original cash register receipt. Springfield shotguns were manufactured by the Stevens division of Savage Arms from 1920 to 1948.

Easy. It was made in 1929, hence the model number...
1987
Your shotgun was manufactured in 1947.
The value of a Springfield 20 gauge pump shotgun would actually depend on a number of factors. Some of these factors would be the age and the condition of the shotgun.
made 1880
made 1909
