No such weapon made by Browning. However, they did make the 1918 in 30/06. Value in the tens of thousands of dollars if legally registered
it was developed at the end of WW1, but was not used on front line for fear German forces might capture a BAR....................

You seem to be referring to the Browning Automatic Rifle Model of 1918. That is a selective fire rifle, and requires registration under the National Firearms Act. Any legitimate, registered BAR would be $20,000 or more. Any BAR that is not registered is worth up to ten years in the penitentiary and a $10,000 fine. Ohio Gun Works is making a semi-auto civilian legal BAR with a retail of $5500.

Iben Browning was born in 1918.
It was made by the Baker Gun & Forging Co in Batavia NY. They are generally known for their double shotguns, but they did offer this little semiauto rifle from c.1901 through c.1918. The company was sold to H&D Folsom in 1919. www.countrygunsmith.net
