1893
You would be better served to have a rifle of this age and vintage caliber visually examined by a gun collector that specializes in Marlin rifles. There are too many variables that could effect the value of such a nice old Marlin lever action rifle.
i have an 1881 and 1888 marlin and an 1893 model never heard of a 1895 model
The Marlin model 1893 with the serial number you provided was made in 1901. It is one of the first ever lever action rifles and it is also one of the most accurate rifles of it's time.
marlin 1893, better known to marlin experts as a 1923 lever action model. made from 1923-1958, over 1.5 million were produced in the u.s. and argentina. current values dipped dew to a sudden surplus on the auction blockin 2012. some sold for as little as 150 usd. the market will probably come back as to the new pope francis from argentina has shown an interest in lever action 38-55's.
That would be a model 1889, Marlin serials are "different" I believe it was made in 1893, but I'm not a Marlin expert...
Roughly 1900. Since Marlin mixed serial numbers between models on the early levers it can be hard to pin down exactly. As to caliber, look on the top flat of the barrel. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Depending on condition,$ 800.00 to $1.500 If you are wondering when your Marlin was produced, the serial number indicates that your Marlin model 1893 rifle was made in 1904.
Your serial number indicates that your Marlin model 1893 lever action 30-30Win caliber rifle was made in the year 1904.That being said, without a detailed description of your rifles overall condition, including the amount of original finish remaining. It would be difficult to access a value for your rifle.I can generally say that the value will range in price from 400-1,200 dollars.
