Stevens Model 940c was manufactured between 1961 and 1970. If your shotgun has no serial number then it was made before 1969.

According to SKB's web site, the model 500 was marketed by Ithaca from 1969 to 1978. The one in my collection, a 12-gauge, has s/n S 5550909. -DAW-
The Stevens model 77f 16 gauge pump shotgun with a 2 3/4 chamber, full choke, no serial number, is valued at between $75 and $125. They were made from 1954 to 1969.
I will first say that the Remington model 788 was made in 6mm from 1969-1979,at this time they are going for anywhere from 250-450 dollars depending on condition.
