10 gauge shotgun

Yes it is the most powerful shotgun.
I have heard of 4 gauge shotguns used to bust up slag in steel furnaces. 10 gauge is the largest available today for hunting & defense.
Overall, the .12 gauge shotgun is a substantially more powerful firearm.
Rifle, shotgun, or handgun? The 10 gauge shotgun at close range would be very high on the list, as would some of the buffalo rifle cartridges, such as the 45-110. The .45 Colt revolver was possibly the most powerful handgun of the day.
Shotgun by far
A 10 guage is more powerful with more kick and better range, a 12 guage is the standard issue hunting and war shotgun, it is better if you are not an experienced shooter, it also depends upon what you're doing with the gun
There is no such thing as strongest in terms of firearms. The most powerful in current production, and the largest LEGAL shotgun for waterfowl in the US is the 10 gauge 3.5 inch magnum.
Of course they can. A shotgun is one of the most powerful firearms on the open market
no its the 8 gauge side by side Elephant Gun..a very deadly shotgun!! no its the AA-12 Actually it goes farther back than a 8 gauge there a some shot guns that are mounted on cars because the are that powerful.
Powerful in which way? Artillery pieces are capable of firing flechette rounds, essentially making them oversized shotguns. As for the shotgun as defined as an individual weapon, the largest bore I'm aware of was the six gauge shotgun. Not a very practical battlefield weapon, however. Militaries typically use a .12 gauge shotgun, chambered for either 2-3/4 or 3" shotshells. Western nations lean more towards low brass munitions, while former Bloc countries and their client states lean more towards high brass shotgun shells. Military shotguns aren't the most powerful - .12 gauge is pretty run-of-the-mill. However, some models are capable of pushing out an impressive amount of firepower, to include fully automatic fire, such as the Atchisson AA-12 or Pancor Jackhammer.
