500m or so. Accuracy will depend on your skill and the ammuntion used.
Sako, and Remington are two different manufacturers.
The 7mm Remingtonn is longer. The 30/06 has a larger projectile.
Personally I think the 7mm ultra mag is the best choice of weapon. It really depends on what you are doing with it. The 7mm ultra mag has very little drop and is an excellent long range weapon.
If you want a "Rifleman's" rifle then go with the Remington, if you looking for a lower cost but solid rifle that's your Ruger. Both are good choices but the feel, fit, and triggers are different.
NO The ammunition must match the marking on the Barrel exactly. If you do it is an accident waiting to happen.
The 7mm Ultra Mag is a Remington cartridge. THE model 70 is a Winchester rifle. Winchester does not chamber the Model 70 For the 7mm Rem. Ultra Mag cartridge.
You will have to state your intended use.
with a decent scope and strap, from 600 to 700 if condition is good. 400 to 500 for rifle only.
Both calibers have alot power but the 7mm is more powerful due to the fact that the bullets of the 7mm are in a higher grain than the .308. The 7mm also has a much higher recoil than the 308 and even the 30-06, both calibers have a high standard of performance but its no question the 7mm remington is more powerful
