The Mauser Gewehr 98 was created and produced around World War I. Often times, people will say M98 to denote the Gewehr 98 or K98k. This is true because they are referring to the basic design. On the other hand, Mauser is currently producing some new, modern versions of the Mauser 98 action. This model is known as the Mauser M98.

Hope this helps.

How can you sell your model 1898 Springfield?

Let's start with the fact that there is no "model 1898 Springfield." The US military rifle made at the Springfield armory as the "Model of 1898" is better known as the Krag-Jorgensen (readily identified by the box magazine on the right side of the receiver, instead of underneath). Up until the late 80's, Springfield Armory (actually Springfield, Inc, and no relation to the old government armory) imported the Mauser M98, and in 1995 the CZ 98. I am uncertain as to the markings on those guns, however. If you have the Mauser or CZ, you have a utility / hunting rifle of value to shooters, but not collectors. If you have a Krag-Jorgensen, get it examined and appraised before you even think of selling it.

How do you remove the bolt from a centurion m98 30-06?

Make sure it is unloaded. Then lift the bolt handle and slide it to the rear. There is a small lever on the rear left of the gun, pull this outward from the front. With it pulled out finish sliding the bolt out of the action.

What horse power is a 316 BMW?

From "http://en.allexperts.com/e/b/bm/bmw_3_series.htm": 1982-1987 316 - 1.6 L M98 I4, 90 hp (66 kW) 1982-1990 316 1.8 - 1.8 L M10B18 I4, 90 hp (66 kW) 1987-1991 316i - 1.6 L M40B18 I4, 102 hp (75 kW) So it depends on the model, i suppose.

What is the value of an r famage 30 rifle?

A bit of a "how long is a piece of string" question - the R. Famage rifles were rebarrel jobs - I believe most of the originals were in 7X57 calibre - and the magazines were lengthened to take the longer 30.06 cartridge by what could only be regarded as a "questionable" method - both of which reduce the value to any collector. However, the majority of the actions were of high quality (usually FN) manufacture although some were of unknown manufacture. There were a lot of M98/K98 rifles kicking around in the 50's! Depending on condition and how well it shoots, and what further modifications have been done, it will basically fall somewhere between being an action that can be rebuilt into a sporting rifle or a good field/range shooter as is - prices will vary accordingly - I would guess somewhere between $AU150 and $AU400 depending on condition and bore. It is certaily not as valuable as an unmodified rifle in the same condition and by the same manufacturer, but if in good shooting condition may be a more valuable shooter than rifles in original calibre. In any event - hard to judge without seeing it or at least some photos of it.

The majority of the weapons used by the Ghosts are listed in the game manuals. However, some weapons used by the enemies do not show up in the manuals, and can only be found listed as ".gun" files in GR's "Equip" folder.Ghost Recon 1 weapons appear in green.Desert Siege weapons appear in yellow. There are 9 new weapons introduced in Desert Siege. All Desert Siege weapons are multiplayer-only unless indicated.Island Thunder weapons appear in blue. There are 12 new weapons introduced in Island Thunder. All Island Thunder weapons are only available in Quick Mission mode or multiplayer unless indicated. Most of the descriptions for the weapons that appear in the original Ghost Recon are derived from the game manual. A few descriptions come from Ghost Recon.com's "official"weapons page. Descriptions for Desert Siege weapons come from an official Ubi Soft Desert Siege press information package. Descriptions for the Island Thunder weapons were written by us following our own research. For more details about the weapons stats, check out German fan site RainbowSix.org's GR weapons section.PLEASE NOTE: Thanks to all the fans that have e-mailed us about how some of the names and weapons specs in this list are not totally accurate (e.g. the M4 should be the M4A1, the M16A2 looks more like a M16A4, the MP5 should be a MP5A4, the MP5 SD should be the MP5SD5 and it fires standard NATO 9x19mm, not subsonic rounds). Our goal for this weapons page is to give some brief information (including some interesting historical notes) so players can differentiate between the huge number of weapons in the GR series. The names and specs in the descriptions below reflect what is seen in-game and in the manuals, which the game designers have either purposely (to avoid intellectual property issues) or perhaps mistakenly deviated from real world info.HAND-HELDM67 Hand Grenade - The M67 fragmentation hand grenade is the current U.S. Army standard-issue hand grenade.M18 Claymore - The M18 directional anti-personnel fragmentation mine consists of a curved rectangular plastic shell with C3 explosive inside. When triggered, the explosive releases 700 deadly steel balls which blow out towards one direction in a fan-shaped pattern.M2 Demolitions Charge - The M2 demo charge is capable of destroying roads, bridges, and other structures.AN/GVS-5 Binoculars - The AN/GVS-5 is a hand-held binocular-like laser range finder which can determine ranges up to 10,000m.AN/GSQ-187 Sensor - The AN/GSQ-187 is a placed remote sensor that detects enemy movements based on changes in seismic, acoustic, thermal, and magnetic energy in the area.PISTOLSM9 - The M9 is a 9mm pistol with a magazine capacity of 15 rounds. It is the current standard-issue sidearm used in the U.S. Army.M9 SD - The M9SD is the M9 pistol equipped with a silencer and subsonic ammunition. It sacrifices power for quieter operation.M1911 - Designed by John Browning and selected by the U.S. armed forces in 1911, the Model 1911 .45 caliber pistol has been adopted by many armies around the world as a standard sidearm. This pistol is only used by enemies in Ghost Recon, and appears in the very first mission.Papashvili brandishes the M1911 in GR's first levelHK4 - The HK4 was the first pistol designed by Heckler & Koch in the mid-1960's. The German firm used the name "HK4" because the handgun was available in four calibers. The version used in Island Thunder is 9mm semi-automatic.Makarov - The Makarov is a Russian-designed semi-automatic 9mm pistol. More info here.SUBMACHINE GUNSMP5 - The MP5 SMG fires a 9x19mm pistol ammunition round from a 30-round magazine.MP5 SD - The MP5 SD is the MP5 SMG with an integral silencer. It fires a 9mm round at a cyclic rate of 600 rounds per minute.Samopal 25 - The Samopal 25 is a 9mm submachine gun designed in Czechoslovakia during the Soviet era. It is identical to the Samopal 23 but the "25" designation indicates a folding stock.ASSAULT RIFLESM16A2 - The M16A2 is the U.S. Army standard-issue rifle. It fires 5.56x45mm ammunition fed by a 30-round magazine.M16/M203 - This variant of the M16A2 comes with the M203 underbarrel 40mm grenade launcher attached.
