The 32 S&W long or 32 S&W can be fired in a .32 H&R Mag revolver. The opposite is not true.
S&W, H&R, M&H to name but a few
what is the value of 32 cal s and w ctge five shot revolver 1895
Needs a call to S&W to find out.
THIS COULD BE AN "1895 NAGANT", A RUSSIAN HAND GUN MADE FOR THE RUSSIAN ARMY BETWEEN 1895 AND WELL INTO THE 1930'S. MANY OF THE LATER MODELS HAD THE RUSSIAN STAR STAMPED ON THEM WHILE BEING MADE FOR THE RED ARMY. I FACT IT WAS A 7.62 x 38 CAL. WHICH CAN FIRE THE S & W 32 LONG, 32 H & R MAGNUM AND 32 S & W.
You will have to spell out the maker's name.

The .32 Magnum revolver can fire the .32 S&W revolver cartridge. It cannot safely fire other .32 cartridges, such as .32 ACP (auto) 32-20, 32 Winchester, etc etc.
NO! The .32 ACP is loaded to much higher energies than the .32 S&W Revolver cartridge, and cannot be safely fired in a revolver- especially one that old. You will also have problems extracting the fired cartridge case.
Congratulations! You already have. h = S+r
A .32 S&W Long revolver can fire the .32 S&W Long and the shorter .32 S&W cartridges. It is not compatible with any other .32/6.35mm cartridge.
You will have to call S&W
